Ghana's Under 20 head coach Sellas Tetteh says his side's 0-2 victory over Mali on Wednesday at the Africa Youth Championship has revitalized their campaign for a World Cup ticket.
Tetteh watched his side endure the physical and robust play of the Malians before dispataching them with fine headers in each half from Gladson Awako and Ransford Osei."We took our chances well and deserved to win. The victory has put us in a good position to progress," Tetteh said in a post-match interview.''He admitted that his boys were fatigued after a big fight against Cameroon in their opening match on Monday.
"Mali played well, but when you don’t score, you can’t win. We played cautiously and won the tie. It was important for us to get this win."The Black Satellites jumped to the top of the Group A table after Cameroon drew one-all with host Rwanda.Ghana now need a draw against Rwanda on Saturday to advance to the last four of the competition and a World Cup ticket later in the year.Source: Ghanasoccernet
