Residents of Djornamang near South East Legon in Accra have been left in shock after their buildings were demolished Thursday.
An Accra Fast Track High Court had reportedly granted an estate developer the go ahead to demolish buildings on the disputed site.
But, the affected residents say they acquired the land legally.
Joy News’ Kwetey Nartey who was at the scene of the demolition reported that at least ten uncompleted buildings were downed.
The residents looked on helplessly as the bulldozers razed the buildings. Some had packed their properties outside their homes, uncertain of where to go after the demolition.

Gun wielding police officials were present to supervise the demolition.
One of the residents, in frustration, vowed to get back at the Estate developer- Alhassan Limited.
Another said he has had to pay the cost of the land to two different persons who claimed to be owners of the land.
With his house finally reduced to rubble, he does not know what next to do. He is praying the demolition would not affect his kids who are preparing for their exams.
