Light heavyweight boxer and musician, Braimah Kamoko, popularly known as Bukom Banku has rendered an unqualified apology to Ghanaians for faking his death.
The news about the comedian's death went viral on social media through an accident which he later said was faked to test his popularity in the country.
He rendered the apology in an interview on Hitz FM while talking about his new single with Shatta Wale.
According to him, he is terribly sorry for the hoax promising he will not repeat such an expensive joke.
He said, “First of all I want to tell Ghanaians, Ghanaians love me and so next time I, Bukom Banku wouldn’t do that mistake again because I [gave] people BP, internal bleeding, stomach [problems].”
He said he had to also pay medical bills of some people who said they had fallen ill due to the hoax.
Touching on his new song, the boxer explained that he opted to record with Shatta Wale because his initial plan to record with Samini was not successful.
Bukom Banku alleged that Samini does not pay attention to him and doesn’t answer his calls forcing him to record with Shatta Wale who was readily available.
