The Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Marietta Brew Appiah-Opong, has ordered the police to charge Abraham Oyoko Baah, 27, with the murder of Stanbic Bank staff Rosemond Nyampong.
A provisional charge of murder was preferred against Abraham Oyoko Baah, who was arrested in connection with the murder of the 32-year-old woman at her home located at Batsoona, off the Spintex Road.
Information gathered by Daily Guide indicates that the Sakumono District Police has subsequently prepared a charge sheet upon the instructions of the A-G's Department.
The police are therefore awaiting a summary of evidence and bill of indictment from the A-G's Department before the suspect can be committed to a superior court for the trial to continue.
The police investigation team, led by the Sakumono District Police Commander, Superintendent Alex K. Wowolo, is working tirelessly to ensure that justice is delivered.
Meanwhile, the Tema Magistrate Court, presided over by Eric Adjei, has again remanded the suspect into prison custody to reappear later.
Rosemond, until her death, worked in the Credit Department at Stanbic Bank's head office in Accra and lived alone.
She was not seen in public for days, prompting her colleagues and family members to begin a frantic search for her.
She was subsequently found dead in her room on November 21, 2013.
An autopsy report revealed that the deceased was strangled.
According to him, the body of the deceased was conveyed to the kitchen after she was murdered outside her house.
Her laptop, two mobile phones, television set, sound system and a Toyota Yaris, with Registration Number GT 513310, went missing after the incident.
The police later discovered the deceased's saloon car at a washing bay at Odumasi Krobo in the Lower Manya Krobo District of the Eastern Region, which was being driven by Abraham.
