Three people are feared to have perished on the spot, when a speeding Hyundai vehicle collided head-on with a KIA truck at Akyem Asafo in the Eastern Region, Sunday.

Several others are also said to have sustained varied injuries when the incident occurred.

The Hyundai vehicle with registration number BA 527-09, said to be travelling from Kumasi, over-took another vehicle on the highway before colliding with the KIA truck also with registration number GT 9473 W.

The deceased have been sent to the Kyebi Hospital morgue, according to Joy News Correspondent Kofi Siaw.
