After a hard hit on Cameroon by Nigeria’s dreaded Islamist group, Boko Haram, Ghana is leaving no stone unturned to protect its citizenry from terror attacks.
The Interior Ministry has indicated that security forces in Ghana are already engaged in anti-corruption activities which will be a sure guard against the terror group.
Even though the Minister, Mark Woyongo, would not reveal counter-terrorism strategies, he has assured Ghana will be able to withstand their attacks.
"We need to prepare for a bad day, we are not leaving anything to chance and it’s not as if we are taking things for granted” he told Adom News Tuesday.
Recent attacks in Nigeria, Kenya, Mali, and recently Mabass village in Cameroon has triggered concerns on security in the sub region especially in Ghana.

Mr Woyongo also appealed to Ghanaians to be security conscious and report any suspicious persons or movement to the Police.
Ghana has also been trading intelligence with neighbouring countries on movements as well
Senior Research Fellow at the Legon Centre for International affairs, Dr Vladimir Antwi Danso is advising President John Mahama as ECOWAS chair to unite with ECOWAS countries to fight the terrorism.
According to him, President Mahama can even seek help from other quarters including the UN, USA and more.
