Many residents have their pets crushed to death by pythons, compelling them to vacate the area for amid fears for the lives of their children.
The reptiles live along the banks of the lake and prey on the house hold animals.
Apart from the possibility of the children getting drown in the water, it is also risky for parents to send their children to fetch water in a colony of snakes.
