Imani Centre for Policy and Education has been ranked as second most influential think tank in all of Africa.
The Ghanaian research institute was ranked by the Pennsylvania University in the United States among top 65 think tanks on the continent.
Last year, the Franklin Cudjoe-led policy institute was ranked number four on the continent by the same university.
East Africa-based Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA) was the only research institute ahead of IMANI in the 2015 rankings.
