The Rlg Foundation is re-assessing the social impacts of its projects as part of a re-prioritization process.
Manager of the Foundation, Malcolm Frazier told journalists in the Upper East Region the exercise is intended to ensure beneficiary individuals and communities derive maximum gains.
He was in the region to familiarise himself with some projects being executed with funding from the Foundation.
He visited Bosongo where the Foundation is supporting the construction of a Pavilion for Ante and post-natal at the Bosongo Community Health Center, whose construction began in 2013.
Bosongo has a population close to 800 people and the local health facility records between 300 and 600 cases of malaria within the September-October period considered the peak month for the disease in the area.
A Community Health Nurse, Rahinatu Adams, early completion of the pavilion will aid child healthcare interventions.
The team later toured a number of boreholes constructed for schools and communities in Sirigu and surrounding communities to assess sustainability and maintenance challenges.

Though impressed with the level of maintenance culture exhibited so far in the care of the boreholes some of which were constructed five years ago, Mr Frazier suggested a joint community-beneficiary task force to reinforce the maintenance strategies.
The team also held discussions with traditional leaders and community elders as well as officials of Afrikids, a British NGO working in the area of possible partnerships through new initiatives to improve lives in rural communities.
The team included the Corporate Affairs Manager of Rlg, Mr Emmanuel Arthur.
