A cyclist, Emmanuel, narrowly escaped death Wednesday when his Yamaha motorbike crashed on the Kasoa- Mallam Highway.
The bike immediately caught fire after the accident which occurred at the Toll Booth on the Highway.
According to the rider who looked traumatized and struggled with severe injuries, a taxi driver made a sharp u turn into his lane, forcing him to apply his brakes and sending him violently crashing onto the road.
An eye witness account suggested that the motor rider was almost run over by an upcoming vehicle.
It took the intervention of a water tanker driver and his mate to put out the fire.
The taxi driver who allegedly caused the accident sped off after realizing what he had done.
