Power distributor, Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has released a new load shedding time table as the country's power situation worsens.
The 'dumsor' or load shedding schedule starts February 6 to March 5, 2015 from 6:00am to 7:00pm in the day and from 6:00pm to 6:00am in the night for affected areas.
While some areas go off, others have been put on stand-by and may or may not go off, depending on the quantum of power to be shed.
The country currently sheds 650 megawatts during peak periods and 440 megawatts during off-peak hours.
Hospitals and airports are however exempt from the load shedding exercise.
