Former Member of Council of State Dr. Bernard Kwasi Glover has been buried on Saturday at Akutukorfe in the South Tongu District of the Volta Region.
Dr. Glover died at age 74 on November 17, 2014. He left behind a wife Peace and thirteen children.
Dr. Glover represented the Volta Region at the Council of State from 2009 to 2012.
The funeral of the late statesman was attended by the crème-de-la-creme of government officials, politicians, traditional rulers, and clergy from Evangelical Presbyterian Church as well as the business community .
Among the dignitaries were President John Dramani Mahama and former President Jerry John Rawlings.
Others present were Speaker of Parliament Edward Doe Adjaho, Chief of Staff Prosper Bani, NDC National Chairman Kofi Portufy, Minister of Transport Dzifa Atsivor, Minister of Food Agriculture Fifi Kwetey and Volta Regional Minister Helen Adjoa Ntosso.
The rest are Members of Parliament, Municipal and District Chief executives and party functionaries.
Dr. Bernard Kwasi Glover was a celebrated businessman, politician and a statesman.
He was a founding member of the National Democratic Congress. He owned a chain of business including Villa Cisneros Resort and Spa, a three star hotel resort at Sogakope.
