The Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West, Nenyi George Andah has charged health workers and media personnel in his constituency to intensify the education on coronavirus prevention so as to ensure the safety of residents in the area.
According to Mr. Andah, although Awutu Senya West is not part of the constituencies under the lockdown, it is important for the appropriate measures to be taken.
He said health workers and security personnel have also been charged to monitor entry points into the community and check people so nobody enters with the virus.
In an interview with Adom News, George Andah urged people in lockdown areas to obey all the rules and regulations put in place by government and the Ministry of Health to help reduce the spread of the virus.
While donating items such as refrigerators, beds, sanitizers, washing soaps, hundreds of Veronica buckets to the district health directorates, the MP who also doubles as the Deputy Minister for Communication said constituents have also been asked to act as if they are also on lockdown, so they can better protect themselves and stay safe.
Accepting the items, the Awutu Senya West District Health Director, Patricia Antwi also urged Ghanaians to calm down and not panic since health workers are doing their best to fight the Covid -19.
