The Chief executive for Abuakwa South Municipal Assembly, Kojo Ofori-Safo, has advised against sharing mobile devices since they are vectors for the new coronavirus.
“The deadly coronavirus is real and has claimed so many lives worldwide. Please observe the social distancing protocol, wash your hands with soap under running water and stop sharing mobile phones," the MCE said while speaking on Radio1 Friday.

He noted that "The idea that people even pass on their mobile phones to others when making calls is bad" and advised those who want to speak together with someone on the same phone to "put it on loud speaker, observe some social distance and talk without passing on the phone.”
Touching things to do to beat the virus, Mr. Ofori-Safo said people should endeavour to balance their diets, eat good foods as well as engage in physical activity, so as to help build the immune system to fight the novel coronavirus.
“Keep yourselves at a distance from others, take your bath more frequently and eat good foods. If the intake of meat is too much, eat the local ones to build your immune system so that if by mistake you contract the disease, your immune system will fight back,” he added.
The MCE used the opportunity to announce the readiness of the Abuakwa South Assembly to fumigate four markets on Saturday, April 4, 2020.
The markets to be affected are those at Kibi, Asafo, Asiakwa and Apedwa.
