Pharmaceutical company, Oson’s Chemist and Chicago Illinois Nanny’s Association have donated 45 pieces of infra-red thermometers, 2,000 disposable facemasks and a check for GH¢5,000 to Kumasi South Hospital.
Head of Marketing and Operations at Oson’s, Kwabena Asante, says the social responsibility gesture is the company’s contribution to the fight against Covid-19.

“The people who are infected with covid-19 are taken to that place. As part of our CSR, we chose that place and decided to help them.
“When the patients come, they feed and house them so the cash will help cushion them in that regard,” he said.
He says the company is exploring ways to begin local production of emergency drugs for Covid-19 treatment.
He reveals discussions are ongoing with the company’s partners on the proposed project.
“We’ve contacted our partners to help us. We want to be part of the covid-19 history,” he said.
Medical Director of Kumasi South Hospital, Dr. Ofori Boadu thanked the company for the gesture and called for more support.
