Four armed robbers have murdered a cattle dealer, Issahaku Haruna at his home at Achebunyuor in the West Gonja municipality of the Savannah region.
The deceased’s brother, Musah Salam who was with him at the time of the attack managed to escape but sustained some injuries and is currently receiving treatment at the Damongo Hospital.
Narrating the incident to Joy News, the Assembly man for the area, Kipo Yakubu said the robbers invaded the home of the deceased around 1am.
They then demanded all his money including the funds he intended to use to purchase cattle from Burkina Faso the following day.
He said the robbers after taking the money shot him in the head leading to his demise.
According to him, similar robbery attacks have been occurring in the area for some time now, but the police have not caught any of the culprits yet.
