The Rotary Club of Accra-East, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of McCarthy Hill (under construction), has distributed some sanitary and personal protective items to residents of Tabora Santana.
The items which included 300 re-usable Rotary branded face masks, 150 bottles of hand sanitisers, 100 strips of vitamins C, and educational flyers on Covid-19 were disbursed on Saturday, July 25.
The President of the Club, Mumuni Haruna expressed the delight of the group's contribution to the fight against the deadly virus.
Rotarian President Mumuni and his fellow Rotarians sensitised the community about the virus and urged them to continue to adhere to the safety protocols in order to contain the spread of Covid-19.

Before the distribution, a health worker, and a member of the Rotary Club of Accra-East, Linda Obiri educated residents of Tabora Santana community the proper way to wear a facemask.
Among others, she informed them that the facemask must be washed with soap, properly dried in the open, and ironed before usage.
She also cautioned that the facemasks donated are “Personal Re-Usable Face Masks" adding that they are not to be shared with friends and family.
An Assembly Member for Nii Okaiman West, Fiifi Graham who received the items on behalf of the community was very grateful for such a kind gesture extended to them.
In his speech, Mr Graham reminded the community to take good care of the facemasks and hand sanitisers donated to them and also adopt healthy habits.
Some of the recipients of items expressed their gratitude to both Clubs and asked for other organisations to emulate their good example
