'Angela' hitmaker Eugene Marfo popularly known as Kuami Eugene has shared why he is against celebrities keeping guns for protection.
"No way, I am not a fan of guns, I don't want to ever be in possession of a gun. I feel having a gun means the gun speaks for you,
If you are in possession of something you know can mute someone, you are always tempted to use it," he told Andy Dosty on Hitz FM today.
Kuami advised against the use of guns for personal protection as he believes it has an irreversible effect on the victim.
Speaking on self protection, the hiplife crooner says he tries to be cautious in his dealings with others so as not to provoke them to pull a gun on him.
He stated that in heated situations in public, he pulls back and falls on his management for protection.
Quizzed on how he protects himself at home he admitted to having "a security man who has a gun. It's his job to protect me. I pay him to protect me".
Kuami Eugene pleaded with all celebrities who keep guns for protection to find less irreparable alternatives to protect themselves.

He was speaking in connection with rapper Edem who on Tuesday condemned the act on the same show.
The topic of celebrities keeping guns as protection continues to be debated by the music industry which stands divided in its use.

It is to be recalled that a gun was wielded in the scuffle between Reggae Dancehall giants Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy during the 2019 VGMAs.
