Holy Child School emerged winners in the first contest in the one-eighth stage of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) that took place on Monday morning in the University of Ghana.
The contest in the one-eighth stage saw Holy Child School, Kintampo SHS and Oti Boateng SHS battle it all out for a slot in the quarter-final stage.
The Cape Coast Senior High School who took charge and dominated the first contest were represented by Samantaa Ghartey and Nellie Vorleto.
Representatives of Kintampo SHS and Oti Boateng SHS gave a good fight but unfortunately, they could not catch up as the contest got fierce.
For the "Problem of the day," Holy Child School managed to score four points whereas Kintampo SHS and Oti Boateng SHS were unable to slot a point in the third round of the contest.
At the end of the contest, Holy Child School secured 46 to lead the score table. Kintampo SHS and Oti Boateng SHS followed the score table with 23 points and 14 points respectively.
