Keta SHTS knocked out Nsen SHS and SDA SHS Bekwai to secure a place in the quarter-final stage of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) held at the University of Ghana.
Elizabeth Anyormisi and James Agbolegbe who represented Keta SHTS secured a spot in the next stage of the competition.
The eliminated schools Nsen SHS and SDA SHS Bekwai were also represented by Frederick Quansah, Richmond and Listowel Boadi, Haruna Seidu.
Keta SHTS took charge in the first round and led the score table with 20 points. Scoring 10 and 9 points in this round respectively were Nsen SHS and SDA SHS Bekwai respectively.
With a huge leap after round one, Keta SHTS rose to 31 points in the second round while Nsen SHS and SDA SHS Bekwai still in search of the battleground gathered 10 and 13 points.

Nsen SHS and SDA SHS Bekwai just could not contend as the competition grew challenging for them. Still in the lead, Keta SHTS earned 35 points in the third round.
SDA SHS Bekwai who could not gain a point followed the score table with 13 points and leaving Nsen SHS at the bottom with 12 points.
Beginning to find ground in the fourth round with 22 and 23 points were Nsen SHS and SDA SHS Bekwai respectively but holding the mantle with a grip was Keta SHTS with 42 points.

At the end of the contest, Keta SHTS eliminated Nsen SHS and SDA SHS Bekwai with 45 points. Nsen SHS unable to earn a point allowed SDA SHS Bekwai to secure 29 points as Nsen SHS maintained 22 points.
