Social media has in the last hour been buzzing with varied comments and expressions following the news about the resignation of Martin Amidu as Special Prosecutor.
The former Attorney General wrote to the President, Nana Akufo-Addo, on Monday saying his decision is to enable his appointing authority “to take steps to appoint a replacement to that position as required by law.”
A section of social media users says the decision is in the right direction, while others say Martin Amidu's resignation will affect protecting the public purse.
Below are some of the comments:

Martin Amidu’s resignation is proof of why relying on men rather than cultural and institutional systems is a bad idea. It doesn’t take one man to end corruption.
