The affected traders of the Odawna Pedestrian Market fire outbreak which occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, November 18 were at the scene today to assess their losses.
While the victims were taking stock, some suspected thieves had taken advantage of the situation to loot what was left of their stalls.

The Police quickly secured the premises declaring it unsafe for the traders to enter the market.
Doris Owusuaa, a hairdresser who lost everything in the fire is uncertain what the future has in store for her after the incident.

She, therefore, appealed to government and benevolent organizations to come into their aid.

Natalia Oforiwaa, a makeup artist who deals in cosmetics said she was in denial about the fire until she came to see it herself

Meanwhile, the leadership of the market have held a crisis meeting with the relevant stakeholders to find a way forward.
