Outgoing MP for the Adentan Constituency has challenged the opposition NDC to contest the outcome of the 2020 elections at the Supreme Court if they have the evidence to back their claims of electoral malfeasance.
Mr Yaw Buaben Asamoa asked the NDC to produce data to back their claims of a stolen verdict.
"The NDC must produce data that demonstrates that they have won an election. We don't win an election with the mouth," Mr Buaben Asamoa told JoyNews Monday.
The comment is in response to various allegations levelled by the NDC against the EC of having colluded with the NPP to rig the 2020 polls in favour of the ruling party.
Yaw Buaben Asamoa has, however, rubbished the claims.
He stated that the "decisive win" of the NPP in the December polls is proof that the NPP delivered on its promises to the period during its first term in office.
"That's the second most decisive win ever and there's no doubt about his excellency the president's win. We are here for the long haul, Ghanaians have accepted us and decided that we are the ones who can run the country in the right manner," he said.
He further cautioned Mr Mahama and the NDC against condemning state institutions, especially the Electoral Commission.
"You don't trample the institutions of state and expect those institutions to accept your authority.
"If they are damning every institution; the media, the Supreme Court and every institution, over whom are they going to rule? What instruments are they going to rely on to run their parallel governent.
"It's too naked and I think it is important the NDC resorts to the ultimate which is the Supreme Court if they have any doubt at all and the Supreme Court will act on evidence," he added.
