Volta Regional Organiser of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Emmanuel Korsi Bodja, has said the people of the Volta region will be given what is due them.
According to him, the party will make sure that every Ghanaian benefits from the party's promises and that Voltarians will not be left out.
"We also have a greater stake in making sure that the promises that we have given to the general public and Ghanaians of course Voltarians benefit from what is due them,” he said.
The political party organiser made this statement during a press engagement Thursday, December 9, after the Electoral Commission had declared Nana Akufo-Addo president-elect in the 2020 general elections.
He added that NPP executives in the Volta Region will leave no stone unturned in their quest to develop the region.
“I can assure you that, as the regional organiser and that of the regional party led by Chairman Hon. Makafui Kofi Woanya, we will also be vigilant in making sure that what Volta deserves, Volta gets it,” he said.
Mr. Bodja further expressed his joy for NPP securing a parliamentary seat in Hohoe.
He explained that the party will redefine politics in the region by developing the Hohoe areas.
He also noted that the performance of the various NDC Members of Parliament will be carefully monitored and compared to John Peter Amewu of the NPP and based on that, the voting pattern in the region will see differences.
Mr. Bodja indicated that the idea of belonging to a minority giving lesser opportunities to initiate development be abolished.
He called on MPs from both political parties to champion the development of their constituents.
