Singer Fameye has denied reports of his arrest on Monday for driving an unlincensed car.
Radio show host Ola Michael was the first to report that the artiste had been arrested, the reason for his inability to show up for a scheduled interview.
However, in a video posted to Facebook, the 'Nothing I Get' hitmaker said that he had not violated any law that warrants an arrest.
Although Fameye confirmed that he was indeed stopped by the police, he revealed that his encounter with them was misinterpreted.
He explained that he had been stopped on his way to his interview with Ola Michael, adding that his interaction with the police had gone on longer than he had anticipated.
The video he shot while with the police was only meant to inform Ola of his delay and to serve as proof to his claim of having been stopped by the Police.
This, however, has unfortunately been misrepresented by the public to mean that he was arrested.
Fameye, therefore, asked fans to disregard the news and assured that he was well and that the matter with the police had been settled without any further issues.
