Student leaders from tertiary and second-cycle institutions within the Volta Region were guided through leadership competence by Lead-it Africa at the Ho Technical University on February 13, 2021.
The seminar organised in collaboration with Progressive Students Network is an annual event that targets student leaders mainly focused on helping participants to grow into leaders with competence and integrity.

The interactive session was geared towards helping participants find solutions to challenging questions surrounding leadership and charting an empowering path to competence.
Chief Executive of Lead-it Africa, Dr. Herman Addae said the seminar will drive a positive transformation in the quality of leadership in organisations and the society at large.

Dr. Herman said "leadership must be grounded in discipline with a guiding principle of resourcefulness, goodness, growth mindset and grit."
He stressed the need for leaders to focus on sustainable solutions by finding the discipline to work with passion and persistence until success is achieved.
Also speaking at the event was President and Founder of Progressive Students Network, Evangelist Godwin Baako-Boafo.

He highlighted what he described as seven tenets of leaders namely; obedience, sacrifice, humility, service, selfishness, transparency and commitment.
Mr Baako-Boafo believes these values should be the yardstick by which the conscience of every leader must be guided.
