Joy Business gathers the Aviation Ministry settled on the Cairo based Airline after an extensive scrutiny by the committee put together by the government to search for a strategic partner.
But speaking to Joy Business, Ing. Leslie Alex Aryeh, warned of conflict of interest on the part of Egypt Air in this agreement.
“You don’t go into partnership with your rival. I would rather we don't go to Egypt Air and have some investors because when decisions are to be made in the long run when it comes to the hub - they will want it there in their country and that way it could strike matters of interest. I would have preferred we invited business people rather than an airline,” he stated.
