The management of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) says a Level 100 Bachelor of Commerce student has been killed in a road accident.
According to a statement signed by the University’s Director of Public Affairs, Major Kofi Baah-Bentum (Rtd.), the unfortunate incident happened when Pricialla Owusu Achia, 19, was knocked down by a speeding Sprinter bus.
He said Ms Owusu Achia "was in the company of her friends to buy some food items when the Sprinter bus which was overtaking another car knocked her."
“The incident happened on Saturday, April 10, 2021 and she passed on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at about 11.30 am,” the statement added.

The PRO added that the family of the deceased have been informed and the Saltpond police are investigating the matter.
“The University Management extends its condolences to the bereaved family,” the statement added.
