Two persons are said to have been arrested at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for allegedly trying to steal several pints of blood from the health facility.
In a statement issued by the hospital's Public Relation Unit, the suspects were apprehended through a special operation after their activities came to the attention of the health authorities.

A surveillance was mounted for the thieves after which they were eventually nabbed at the dawn of Saturday May 22, 2021.
"They were arrested at the Surgical third floor when they made the attempt to steal several pints of blood that had been mobilised for various surgical procedures," the statement indicated.
The suspects have been handed over to the Korle Bu Police Station which has instituted an investigation into the incident.
The referral facility, however, urged staff to be vigilant when they see any suspicious activity going on in the hospital.
