A Magistrates Court will today hear the case involving eight Nigerians who were arrested last month for alleged piracy.
The suspects, including one Molih Williams and Peggy Aki will appear before the Adjabeng Magistrates Court to face a charge of conspiracy to commit crime and piracy.
Last week, the court could not hear the matter as the police failed to produce the accused persons.
Prosecutors told the court there was no fuel to fill the vehicle that would have transported them.
The Ghana Navy last month foiled a pirate attack on a Nigerian cargo vessel, MT Mariam and captured all eight high sea robbers.
Owners of the hijacked ship had alerted the Ghana Navy about the incident and requested for assistance.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the 1 Garrison of the Ghana Armed Forces, Lt Maxwell Asola, all eight pirates are Nigerians.
