The Keta Municipal Assembly Members have confirmed the President's nominee, Mr Emmanuel Gemegah as the new Municipal Chief Executive.
The graduate teacher garnered 23 "yes" votes and 9 No votes.
Mr Emmanuel Gemegah thanked the President for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to work hard for the total development of the municipality after the result was declared.
He noted that it is necessary to have the collaboration of the public and stakeholders to help solve issues of alleged corruption in the assembly to aid development.
According to him, his office is opened to all and sundry and is ready for criticism that would make the Keta Municipality see the needed development it deserves.
Volta Regional Minister, Dr Archibald Yao Letsa, who was impressed by theĀ positive news commended the assembly members for doing the right thing and urged them to help the new MCE achieve his goals.
