Ghanaian Afrobeat singer, Kelvyn boy has admonished Ghanaians to stop complaining because locally made songs are really making waves.
He said this in response to a question posed by Hitz FM's Daybreak Hitz Show host, Andy Dosty, on why he has not joined the bandwagon that has it that Ghanaian songs are not doing well and that Nigerian songs have taken over everywhere.
The "Na You" crooner said that it was not the time to be complaining because, to him, Ghanaian songs are really doing well because everyone seems to be making it from Ghana. He stressed that the phenomenon is something Ghanaians really need to appreciate in the industry and in the country as a whole.
He further said that there is the need for Ghanaians to be grateful for the country's reach in terms of music, work on it well and push it further instead of complaining. "I don't believe in that because we still make hit songs and this isn't the right time to complain because every young artiste seems to be blowing. It is as if we don't appreciate what we have. We don't appreciate as a country and once that sets in we don't see efforts. We are making it so why are we complaining," he quizzed?
Kelvyn however admitted that there is work needed to be done on the sound output of some of the songs released onto the market. "We only need to work on our sound well and push it", he advised.
