The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Thursday arrived in Ghana for the much-anticipated World Cup qualifier against the Black Stars.
The players in an Air Peace flight landed at the Kumasi Airport in the Ashanti Region. However, their welcome was unprecedented.
In a video shared by Nigerian journalist Colin Udoh, the players were left with no other option but to jump off their plane because there was no Passenger Boarding Bridge (PBB).
Instead, a ramp was provided. This saw the Super Eagles hop, scotch, jump as they disembarked.
Nigerians on Twitter upon sighting this fumed, noting that this is unacceptable. They hold the assertion that this was a deliberate action.
However, some users suspected to be Ghanaians said the welcome provided to Nigeria was not deliberate.
Reacting to this, Ningo-Prampram MP, Sam Nartey George, said lightly that he is pleased with how "the Super Chickens of Nigeria" were welcomed.
"I'm in love with the mafia," he added.
According to Mr "Dzata" George, the Black Stars should make it a point to beat Nigeria at tonight's game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
For him, this is imperative because Nigeria would give Ghana a taste of its medicine when in arrives into the country.
