French Ligue 1 clubs, Lille and AS Monaco are interested in acquiring the services of Ghana international Abdul Mumin, according to reports from Portuguese newspaper, A Bola.
According to the report, both clubs are looking to add the central defender to their squad in the summer following his impressive performances for Victoria Guimaraes since joining the club two years ago.
Despite receiving a number of call-ups into the Black Stars team, Mumin is yet to play for Ghana but the 23-year-old is expected to be included in Otto Addo’s squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup later this year.
Lille and Monaco believe an offer of 8 million Euros will be enough to price the youngster away from Portugal into the French league.
At Guimaraes, the enterprising centre-back has featured 57 times for the club across all competitions and has become an integral part of Pepa’s squad in the 2021/22 season, where he has contributed to six clean sheets in the Primeira Liga.
With his contract valid until 2024, Mumin's departure will present an opportunity for Vitoria to a financial inflow in a period when players' values are skyrocketing due to increased interest.
