Prospective national executive aspirants of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have assured the rank and file of the Party of dedicated and selfless leadership if given the opportunity.
They reiterated their resolve and commitment to lead the Party into victory when they filed their forms on Wednesday, June 15 at the Party’s headquarters.
In all, 52 prospective candidates are said to have picked up forms to contest various positions.
Party supporters thronged the Party’s headquarters with their preferred candidates amid the Wednesday morning downpour that delayed the filing of the forms for close to two hours.

As the NPP gears up for its national executive elections, one critical position to look out for is the National Chairmanship portfolio, which is expected to be keenly contested as incumbent Freddie Blay bows out after serving two terms.
This position will see heavy weights in the NPP such as Prof Ameyaw Akumfi, Asamoah Boateng, Stephen Ntim, and former Attorney General, Ayikoi Otoo battling it out.

All prospective aspirants have successfully submitted their nomination forms, awaiting vetting by the elections committee of the NPP.
Another portfolio of leadership which has drawn the attention of political watchers is the General Secretary slot where incumbent John Boadu is facing fierce contest from three other contestants.
A former Mayor for Tamale, Musah Superior, has already hit the ground running, hoping to win the elections.

Current Director of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Justin Koduah, is not giving up as he has gathered his support base to secure the position.
On his part, Charles Bissue has called on delegates to elect new breed of politicians capable of breaking the eight in the 2024 elections.
Meanwhile, the current National Organiser Sammy Awuku has announced he would not contest again – National Youth Organiser, Henry Nana Boakye will face off with former Tema East MP, Titus Glover.

Secretary to the Elections Committee of the NPP, Evans Nimako, is enthused about the composure of the various aspirants and their supporters.
He has called on them to continuously abide by the Party's code of conduct, which is in tandem with their constitution.
