The voting process of the National Delegates Conference of the New Patriotic Party has ended and counting of votes is currently underway.
The voting process which started at about 6:00 pm saw delegates from various constituencies voting for their preferred candidates.
Reports that came through to JoyNews said delegates were subdivided according to regions to facilitate the voting process.
The Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) proxy voters numbering about 291 members were barred from casting their votes as a result of an injunction that was served on them.
In an exercise that is expected to travel deep into the night, flood lights were powered to aid the process.
Again, security presence was also heightened at the stadium to quell any disturbances which may arise.
