The trending Joy Jingle Challenge on social media by Joy FM has just entered its final lap. Three challengers are competing in the final race for the ultimate prize.
On Sunday, August 21, the challengers hung out with host Kofi Hayford on Joy 99.7 FM for the second studio session of the challenge that will reward its winner with an all-expense paid trip to Dubai in September.
Joy FM's Digital Media Executive, Christian Kumi, disclosed that the final results were derived from the voting process that lasted for 6 days. He explained, “we arrived here based on post reach and engagements – the likes, comments and shares – all these factored in counting the votes”.
Certified results revealed that, in the week under review, Ruby (Aan Eikeya) came out tops with 5788, followed by Akosua who garnered 2881, and then Nana with 958 votes. Bottom two challengers were William and Lemmy who polled 679 and 258 votes respectively.
Programs Manager of Joy FM, Edem Knight-Tay, who announced the evictees of the week – Lemmy and William – also revealed that the three finalists, Ruby, Nana and Akosua, have to accumulate fresh votes, starting Monday August 22.

She also mentioned that the competition has gotten tighter and the team can’t wait to announce the winner on Sunday August 28. She reiterated, “If you happen to win [the competition], you’ll be on your way to Dubai by September 1. So if you know you’re going to win, then you should start packing your bag already and have your passport ready”.

Winner of the Joy Jingle Challenge flies to Dubai on September 1, in an all-expense paid trip as part of Adansi Travel’s 9th Wonder Tours. Participants of the challenge were required to mimic a vintage jingle video of Ghana’s superstation, Joy 99.7 FM.
In conclusion, Host Kofi Hayford mentioned, “the videos have been posted again, kindly head over to Joy Entertainment Facebook page and vote for your favourite challenger. The challenger with the highest [organic] reach and engagements wins the competition”.
