Multichoice has dismissed a video circulating on social media that it allegedly aired inappropriate content on some cartoon channels.
The Managing Director, Alex Okyere in a statement noted that his outfit strives to comply with laws within the jurisdiction they operate.
He, therefore, asked the populace to disregard the false news.
“In tandem with our internal quality control measures, we also ensure all third-party suppliers are adequately briefed on country-specific regulatory requirements and provisions.
“This is to clarify that the videos currently in circulation on social media were not sourced from our platform as the impression is sought to portray,” he noted.
Mr Okyere further noted that as an added layer of guidance to our viewers all DStv/GOtv shows are tagged with age and content notification to help parents manage what their children watch.
"Furthermore, we have in-built in all our decoders parental control capabilities that parents can activate to restrict what their children can watch.
"You may contact any MultiChoice Ghana office for assistance on how to activate these features on your decoder."
