The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that it will elect its national executives on December 17.
This was disclosed at a press conference on Thursday at the party’s national headquarters in Accra.
Aspirants for the national executive positions will be required to take nomination forms from October 20 to October 21, complete the forms within two weeks and file their nominations between November 5 and November 6.
The vetting will then take place on November 9 and November 10.
The NDC also outlined the various dates for its constituency and regional elections and other activities.
Nomination for the party’s constituency elections will be opened from Tuesday, September 20 to September 22 and there will be a duration of one week to complete the forms after which nominations will be filed on September 28 – September 29.

The constituency elections will finally take place on October 22 to October 23 after aspirants have been vetted from September 30 to October 2.
Activities for the party’s regional elections will begin with the collection of nomination of forms on October 6 to October 7. Then, the filing of the forms will commence on October 14 and end on October 15. Aspirants will subsequently be vetted from October 16 to October 17 and appeals will be taken from October 18 to October 19.
Regional elections will be held on November 12 and November 13.

Filing fees for various executive positions
Aspirants for the position of Chairman would have to pay GH₵600 as filing fees, the position of the Vice Chairman costs GH₵500, another GH₵500 for the position of the General Secretary, GH₵400 for the Organiser, Treasurer and Communications Officer, GH₵350 for the Youth and Women Organisers and the Zongo Caucus Co-ordinator, all deputy positions and other youth representative positions would cost GH₵300 and GH₵200 for the eight executive members’ position.
