Former IBF Welterweight Champion, Joshua Clottey, has urged Ghanaian boxer, Richard Commey to stop chasing another world title and focus on making money before retirement.
Commey, 36, lost to Jose Ramires last month in a non-title fight in Fresno, California.
It's the 3rd loss in the last five fights for Commey, having also lost his IBF Lightweight title to Teofimo Lopez in that run.
In December 2021, Commey suffered a unanimous decision defeat to Vasyl Lomachenko in a fight for the vacant WBO Inter-Continental Lightweight title.
Clottey, 45, has urged Commey to turn his attention to financially rewarding fights that would help secure a comfortable retirement, rather than chasing another world title.
"My word of advice to Richard Commey is that, boxing is about how to enjoy your career, you're going to enjoy whatever you worked for. So I'll advice him to focus on making money so that when he retires, he can be comfortable," Clottey told Joy Sports.
