Often when one thinks of Ghana’s biggest exports, attention is drawn to natural resources, goods and services, and entertainment products.
However, what is often overlooked is Ghana’s export of seasoned preachers and religious pathfinders who go across the globe planting churches and spreading the gospel.
One such pathfinder is the Presiding Bishop of Lighthouse Chapel International, Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills who through his church planting ventures and Healing Jesus Campaign has certified himself as a major export for the country.
On his Healing Jesus Campaign – which has recently taken place in Gabon and Madagascar – he has pulled mammoth crowds to stadiums and large open spaces, where he has brought messages of healing and restoration to many, and urged many more to confirm Jesus as their Lord and personal savior.
This has been a testament to the Evangelist’s gospel reach and his dedication to spreading the word of God.
Currently, the United Denomination of Lighthouse Churches (UD) is in 100 countries with over 4,000 branches – a massive international brand and export from Ghana – despite humble beginnings in the Korle Bu School of Hygiene canteen in 1988.
Bishop Dag Heward- Mills has also published over 108 books with over 42 million copies printed throughout his long years in the ministry.
