A US-based Philanthropist has brought the joy of Eid to the underprivileged, especially women at Aworokrom near Mankranso in the Ashanti region.

About 160 underprivileged people, largely women, including non-Muslims, received a ton of free beef, to celebrate with their family at home. The intervention extended the joy of Eid beyond Muslims by sharing it with impoverished non-Muslims in the neighbourhood.

The celebration commemorates Prophet Abraham's willingness to offer his son as a sacrifice to God.
Every 10th of the 12th month of the Islamic lunar calendar, Muslims all over the world commemorate and relive Abraham's sacrifice by slaughtering sheep, camels, and cows, the meat of which is distributed to believers and the destitute.

In recent years, philanthropist Alhaji Chireh Ibrahim Adams, the Bisa Chief for the community and New Jersey in the United States, has been intervening in the lives of these underprivileged individuals. The essential spirit of Eid al-Adha is to help people in need, and the gift allows Alhaji Adams to donate to a worthwhile cause.

The true essence of Eid al-Adha lies in helping those in need and this gift allows Alhaji Adams to contribute towards a meaningful cause.

According to Mohammed Bansi, a representative of the philanthropist who distributed the meat, the season is one of giving and sharing, and they wanted to aid people who are less fortunate.

"We believe that everyone deserves to experience the joy of Eid, and this allows us to do our part in spreading happiness and positivity," Mohammed explained.

He believes that the simple act will put a smile on the faces of the less fortunate and make their Eid a little more memorable.

Beneficiaries of the donation said the philanthropist's effort to make a difference in their lives by ensuring they have enough joy during Eid is admirable.

Amono Gyemfia, afia Boakye, and Maame Salamatu, for example, expressed their gratitude and recounted how even those nearest to them were unable to help them.

"We are grateful to those who remember us." Our issues are numerous, but we are glad for the assistance," Afia stated.

They complimented Alhaji Adams for his consistency over the years. His representative, Mohammed also thanked friends and other charitable persons who contributed to helping the disadvantaged.

“Without the contributor's support, we would not have been able to provide for these underprivileged individuals,” he said.
