The search for the 2023 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) champion continues as the contest enters its one-eighth stage.
With the preliminary stage contests completed, schools that qualified for the next round and the seeded schools from the 2022 contests will be battling for a slot at the quarter-final stage.
Fans are looking forward to seeing what the 2022 seeded schools, semi-finalists and finalists bring to this year’s contest and which schools gain the bragging rights and the opportunity that comes with it.
The 2022 NSMQ winners, Presec Legon, will face off with Kumasi Wesley Girls SHS and Konnongo Odumase SHS.
The 2022 1st runners-up, Prempeh College, on the other hand, will meet Fomena T.I Amass and Navrongo SHS.
Meanwhile, one-time champion and 2022 2nd runners-up Adisadel College will face off with St Louis SHS and Abuakwa State College.
Achimota School will meet Holy Child School and last year’s seeded school, Assin State College.
Wesley Girls will face off with its Central Regional counterpart Archbishop Porter Girls SHS and Ghanata SHS of the Greater Accra Region.
Also, Mfantsipim School, Kumasi Academy and Mamfe Methodist Girls’ SHS will battle it out for a quarter-final slot.
In all, there will be 27 contests spread across three days from Wednesday, October 11 to Friday, October 13.
