A group of New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates has contributed to pick the nomination forms for Michael Kwesi Aidoo, an aspiring parliamentary candidate.
The group led by Papa Yaw Jantuah says Michael Kwesi Aidoo has exhibited strong leadership abilities, hence their support.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has opened nominations for aspiring parliamentary candidates in constituencies across the country to officially file their intentions.
The nominations are expected to close on December 25, 2023, which will be followed by the party’s internal elections on January 27, 2024.
The group is optimistic about Mr Aidoo's victory to bring significant development to the Oforikrom constituency.
“He has lobbying skills that can get us many projects and as a youth, we know that he will be able to link the youth, empower them and create jobs for them. Even before he is voted for, he has done a lot for the constituency. And we believe that when he's is voted for, more of it will come to Oforikrom,” the group said.
The Oforikrom Constituency NPP Chairman, Anthony Amankwah is entreating aspirants to follow the laid down party processes to ensure smooth elections. Mr. Amankwah says aspirants and their supporters failing to comply will face impartial enforcement of party rules.
“The party has laid out rules and regulations. We will entreat all aspirants to abide by them. So far only one nomination has been given out. We are hoping others will come soon to pick theirs,” he said.
