The Assemblymember for Vodza/Adzido Electoral Area, in the Keta Municipality of the Volta Region, has appealed to the government to resettle victims of the floods caused by the controlled spillage of the Akosombo and Kpong dams.

"Our prayers are that the government will come to our aid and relocate our colleagues who live here to prevent their homes from getting flooded”, said Mr. Mensah.
He lamented that flood victims have received very little support since the unfortunate incident occurred, with the government only providing some relief items to about 50 victims, out of the lots.

The aged, persons with disabilities, widows, and widowers were presented with Christmas hampers.

He said the outreach was to help put smiles on the faces of the victims during these difficult times.
