The former Majority Leader and Member of Parliament for Suame, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, has paid tribute to the late John Kumah, portraying him as a courageous individual whose absence will be deeply felt.
Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu said the passing of the late Ejisu lawmaker was "a tragedy of monumental proportions."
In a tribute shared on his Facebook page, Mr Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu lauded the contributions of the late Deputy Finance Minister and offered prayers for his eternal rest and solace for the grieving family.
He noted that during their interactions, he discerned that Kumah was contending with health challenges.
"Just learnt of your passing on - a tragedy of monumental proportions."
"Just this Tuesday, we were together at the economy sub-committee of the manifesto committee. I sat right behind you. We spoke and shared ideas, we laughed, and I asked how you felt at the end of the day. The positive assurance was that you were bouncing back strongly."
The 45-year-old Ejisu MP died after he reportedly succumbed to a brief illness on Thursday, March 7, according to sources close to his family.
