‘People Pleaser’, a new song from the stables of 610Music for their signee G-West, is due for release on Friday, March 15, 2024.
Although it is unknown what exactly the song talks about, the artwork of the piece has piqued people’s curiosity about the content of its lyrics.
The artwork is composed of G-West holding a pestle, a woman seated by a mortar - both placed in a typical Ghanaian home setting. The scene portrays a fufu-pounding activity.
Produced by Ghanaian Stallion, 'People Pleaser' is the first song taken off his upcoming EP.
Born George Kofi Mensah, G-West is a phenomenal Ghanaian singer, songwriter and Afrobeats recording artiste.
He is signed to 610Music, American record label and distribution founded by Kofi Sonny.
G-West who was born in Kumasi, a city in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, developed a passion for music at a young age when he was in high school.
He perfected his craft by performing at some events while at school. After High School, he decided to pursue his dream of becoming a full- time entertainer.
In the pursuit of his dreams, he has worked with three of Africa's biggest artists. He initially featured Ghana's favorite rapper and singer Joey B on his hit single 'Akosua' and later went on to record 'Oyedede' with Nigerian music mogul Mr. Eazi.
He has also worked with Highlife singer Bisa K'dei on a song titled 'Bonto'.
G-West has had the opportunity to grace a number of high-profile events including Afrochella, an annual music and art event organised to help magnify the beautiful culture of Ghanaians and Africans as a whole.
