Veteran highlife musician K. K. Kabobo has passed away.
Highlife musician, Kaakyire Kwame Appiah confirmed the news on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem.
K. K. Kabobo, who had been unwell for a while, died on the morning of Thursday, March 14.
He died while treating a liver disease.
Kaakyire Kwame Appiah revealed that the Onyame Ehu Wu hitmaker was rushed to the University of Ghana Medical Center (UGMC) on Thursday. He died upon arrival.
This news comes barely two weeks after the veteran musician made his illness public.

In a post on Facebook, one user on behalf of the singer revealed he had been unwell for months and the expenses of the family to aid in his treatment were not enough.
Following the news, former President John Mahama, Samira Bawumia, Wendy Shay and the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) all donated publicly to fund KK Kabobo's medical bills.
Born Kwabena Kwakye Kabobo, the musician was a pupil teacher before starting life as a musician.
The veteran Highlife singer established his first band, Explosive Jets, in 1978. In 1981, he dropped his first album which had the smash hit, Nyatse Nyatse (Girl).
In 1992, his song Onyame Ehuwo was declared the song of the year and had the highest number of records sold in Ghana that same year.
In 2012, K. K. Kabobo was ordained as a pastor by the Covenant Mission Bible College.
The singer left behind 16 children.
