The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has commended the Inspector-General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, and the Electoral Commission (EC) for their professionalism during the recently concluded Ejisu by-election.
In an official statement released on May 2 and endorsed by the party’s General Secretary, Justin Koduah Frimpong, the NPP praised the leadership of the two state agencies for overseeing the security management of the electoral process.
The party said both the Inspector-General of Police and the Electoral Commission demonstrated commendable diligence in discharging their duties.
“We commend the Inspector General of Police and the Ghana Police Service for their tremendous commitment, professionalism, and efforts during and after the election.”
"We also commend the Electoral Commissioner and the entire commission's team for conducting and ensuring a free, fair, transparent, and peaceful election," the statement added.
The party has also expressed its gratitude to various stakeholders for their significant contributions to the successful outcome of the by-election.
The NPP extended its appreciation to key figures who played pivotal roles in the election, including President Akufo-Addo, Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia; Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, Chief of Staff, and Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako.
"We particularly acknowledge the significant contributions of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic; Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President and our flagbearer; Mrs. Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, Chief of Staff; Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, Ashanti Regional Chairman, the Ashanti Regional Executives, Regional Chairmen of the Party; and the Campaign Team for their dedication, commitment, and overwhelming support."
The NPP pledged to continue working tirelessly to fulfil its mandate and deliver on its promises to the nation.
