Ahead of the breast cancer awareness campaign in October 2024, Enterprise Computing Ltd. (ECL) has reinforced its partnership with the Breast Society of Ghana (BSoG).
The collaboration was strengthened during a visit by a team from the Breast Cancer Society of Ghana to ECL's Corporate HQ in Tema.
As part of changing the breast cancer narrative in Ghana, the ECL team and the society’s representatives engaged in conversations around advancing breast cancer research and promoting the disease’s awareness. This effort is in line with ECL’s commitment to support the organization’s contribution towards the global breast cancer awareness campaign.
In 2023, Enterprise Computing Ltd. made a generous donation to the society in support of the breast cancer awareness campaign. The cash presentation of GHc12,300 was aimed at sponsoring the breast screening exercise of the society’s campaign, which was performed across 10 different screening stations.
During the visit, Vice President of the Breast Cancer Society of Ghana, Dr. Akwasi Anyanful and the Executive Secretary, Mrs. Gina Kuma-Dzagah expressed gratitude for ECL’s longstanding support in the fight against breast cancer.
“We greatly appreciate ECL’s commitment to supporting initiatives that inure to society’s benefit. We are hopeful that this partnership will continue to help save lives and reduce as much as possible the occurrence of breast cancer in our communities.” This was Dr. Akwasi Anyanful’s response after the ECL team made a reassurance to always extending a helping hand whenever the need arises.
